Each person's life is like a house with many rooms. Join author Erin Hart from the History Theatre for this fun and accessible six-session writing workshop that will help you discover some keys to those many rooms. Using photographs, sounds, artifacts, taste, scents, and textures, we will explore significant chapters in your personal or family history, and with the tools of writing we will bring your memories to vivid life on the page. Absolutely no experience necessary and everyone is welcome! 6 Class Sessions beginning on Feb. 21, 21 at the theater. Erin Hart is an award-winning author of crime novels set in the mysterious bogs of Ireland (published by Scribner), and a frequent presenter at libraries and book festivals around the midwest. She is currently an ArtSage-trained teaching artist with History Theatre of Saint Paul, and has taught memoir, composition, crime writing, and arts criticism through many other venues as well, including the Loft Literary Center, Inver Hills Community College, the University of Minnesota Compleat Scholar/Continuing Education, the Kitchigami Regional Library system, and Twin Cities Sisters in Crime. Erin has a background in communications, having served as Communications Director at the Minnesota State Arts Board, and for many years as a freelance arts journalist, theater critic, and publicist.
