Missoula Children's Theatre Camp: Robin Hood. Camp Price: $75. ROBIN HOOD Auditions (everyone gets a role). An audition will be held for the Missoula Children's Theatre production of Robin Hood Monday, July 22 at the Historic Holmes Theatre at 12:30 PM. Those auditioning should arrive at 12:30 PM and plan to stay for the full two hours. Some of the cast members will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the audition. Approximately 50-60 roles are available for local students. All students, grades entering 1st through 12th grade, are encouraged to audition. No advance preparation is necessary. Most students rehearse 12:30 - 5 PM, Monday through Friday. Performances are scheduled for July 26 at 7 PM and July 27 at 10:30 AM. THE PIED PIPER is part of the Missoula Children's Theatre's unique international touring project and is presented in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota by the Historic Holmes Theatre.

Local youth perform this adaptation of the hilarious shipboard comedy specially tailored for young performers. The S. S. American is sailing between New York and England with a comically colorful assemblage of passengers: Reno Sweeney, a popular nightclub singer and former evangelist, her pal Billy Crocker, a lovelorn Wall Street broker who has come aboard to try to win the favor of his beloved Hope Harcourt (who is engaged to another passenger, Sir Evelyn Oakleigh), and a second-rate con man named Moonface Martin, aka "Public Enemy #13." Song, dance, and farcical antics ensue as Reno and Moonface try to help Billy win the love of his life.
Come make Cyanotype prints using the power of the sun! Cyanotype is an old form of photography printing, that involves a light sensitive mixture that changes in UV light. You can make images with plants, patterns, shapes, and even pictures! Please bring any plants, items, images etc you might be interested in making into a cyanotype. Come learn how to draw from life. Artist Emma Tomb will have a still life set up in class and will instruct you on the basics of creating an image from what you see in front of you. This is a beginner drawing class, meant to help people of any skill level better their drawing techniques. The time is simply long ago and the place is the magical, mythical Sherwood Forest. Our hero, Robin Hood, and his Merry Band of colorful characters seek the help of the Foresters, manage to waylay the Aristocrats and set out to rescue Maid Marion and Marion's Maid. Prince John tries to stay calm as his Sheriff, guards and horsemen botch Robin's arrest thanks to the aromatic Skunks. Wacky humor and an original score add to this fresh new look at a legendary outlaw in a legendary time. Performed by local youth.
The Missoula Children's Theatre presents THE PIED PIPER, an original adaptation of the classic children's tale. What do you do when your town is overrun by ravenous rats? Sara, an orphan girl, and the other Townspeople of Hamelin Town turn to the Mayor of Hamelin and the Council when their town is threatened. They then call on the Pied Piper to save them from the troublesome creatures. The Mayor's children, staff, and the Cooks also join in the endeavor. Find out what happens when the town chooses not to pay the Piper and the children are led away from the town along with the rats! Performed by local youth.
